Performed at The Vortex Theatre in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
The show is described as "an off-beat commedy set in Tuna, the 'third
smallest town' in Texas where the Lions Club is too liberal
and Patsy Cline never dies." Actors Brennan Foster and Shawn
Body play more than 20 characters.
I particularly enjoyed doing the pre-rehearsal warmup
stretches, jumping jacks and breathing exercises with Brennan,
Shawn and Marc.
The composite image of characters was Marc Comstock's idea. He's the
director of the production (in the blue and white plaid). We did
the shoot in a covered area behind the theater on a sunny New
Mexico afternoon. Took a wee bit of time to bring
the images together in Photoshop, but the soft light of the
shade made it easier than it would have otherwise been.
Nearing sunset over the Memorial Day weekend 2017. One of my
best friends was getting married the following month, and the wedding party
was invited to hang out at her aunt and uncle's ranch outside of Corona,
New Mexico. The flash from the muzzle brake is a fav.

Ever since I was a little kid, I've been going quail hunting with
my dad, uncle and my dad's best buddy from elementary school.
We hunt east of Carlsbad, New Mexico in the oil fields. It's
the same area where the old AMAX Potash mine is located,
where my grandpa spent more than 30 years
as a foreman. Nastalgia and tradition. We love it.
Outside of Springfield, Missouri with my best
buddy Andy. He was introducing me to open shutter photography
on this shoot.
